In 2001, Activated Content developed the industry’s first comprehensive and practical watermarking solution for encoding identifiable, robust, inaudible and unique codes into digital audio. In August 2007, Activated Content announced that it licensed technology developed by the Microsoft corp. Redmond research lab.
This technology, when added to Activated Content’s own IP portfolio, strengthened the company’s position as having best of breed watermarking technology to apply to ad-supported content business models and broader market research applications.
